Manners & Motion

Next session runs: Wednesdays June 24-July 29

Manners & Motion is a specialist early-development programme combining physical conditioning and positive training to support long-term health and confidence.

What to Expect

Manners & Motion is a structured, low-impact class designed to support healthy physical development and early learning. All exercises are age-appropriate, force-free, and adaptable for different breeds and abilities. Each small group session is approximately split 50:50 between ‘Pup’Pilates and traditional positive reinforcement puppy training.

❋ 'Pup'Pilates

‘Pup’Pilates is a physiotherapist-led exercise session focused on balance, coordination, and strengthening, tailored to support developing joints and muscles.

Each session includes education on puppy development, advice on creating and maintaining a safe home environment, and guidance on exercise routines to help ensure your puppy has the safest start in life.

Puppies will have the opportunity to become acquainted with equipment and different handling techniques. You’ll learn how to set your puppy up for success in the real world with a strong foundation of healthy movement and confidence.

❋ Positive Reinforcement Training

Positive reinforcement training and early socialisation are provided in a controlled environment to help puppies learn safely and confidently.

Foundational obedience training focuses on building a positive relationship, improving confidence, essential cues (sit, lay down, stay), developing focus, improving impulse control, and encouraging good manners around people and dogs.

Cooperative care skills are also introduced to help your puppy feel calm and comfortable during handling, grooming, and veterinary visits. These techniques help set your puppy up for success at home and in the real world, using positive reinforcement that helps build trust and understanding.

❋ Expert Facilitation

With no more than 6 puppies per class, your puppy will benefit from personalised guidance in a calm, supportive environment. Sessions are led by both a qualified ACPAT Chartered Physiotherapist and an experienced dog trainer, ensuring a balanced approach to both behaviour and physical wellbeing.

❋ Session Details

Each session is held at Holistic Pet Kent. A bespoke specialist rehab veterinary clinic with in house Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy (Underwater Treadmill).

The full course is £180 for six sessions offering excellent value for expert led, small-group training and development.

Registration includes:

  • 6 weekly 1 hour sessions in small groups.

  • Thoughtfully curated luxury goodie bag including a practical training manual to support home learning.

  • A certificate of completion to celebrate your puppy’s progress.

Our Team

Katy Green

Dog Trainer / Hydrotherapist

Hi, I’m Katy! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Canine Therapy and I’m a fully qualified Canine Hydrotherapist. Working in canine rehab has shaped how I see training — it’s never just about behaviour, but about the whole dog: body, mind, and emotions all working together.

My training brings all of this together. I’m passionate about kind, clear, and reward-based training that evolves with the latest research. My goal is simple: to make learning fun, effective, and something both dogs and their humans genuinely enjoy (and maybe even look forward to!).

Because at the end of the day, happy dogs learn best — and happy humans make the best training partners. 🐾

ACPAT Chartered Physiotherapist

Brinna Hayes

Hi, I’m Brinna! My journey into rehabilitation has been anything but ordinary. I started with a BSc in Psychology and Environmental Sciences before moving into an exciting career as a Marine Mammal Specialist, working hands-on with dolphins and sea turtles.

Along the way, I developed a deep passion for animal training, behaviour, and welfare — from ocean giants to much smaller paws on land!

Today, I combine this unique experience with physiotherapy, blending clinical knowledge with behaviour-led, positive reinforcement training. My goal is to help animals feel confident, relaxed, and engaged so they can move and learn well.

Whether it’s rehab exercises or puppy Pilates, I focus on calm, rewarding, and tailored sessions for every animal. Happy body, happy brain, happy animal. 🐾

Whether you’re raising a future superstar or simply want a happy, well-rounded companion, Manners & Motion sets the foundation for a lifetime of good habits and healthy movement.
